What can TAP do for you? Here are just a few examples.
TAP involvement led to a breadth of changes for this organization focused on helping people with cognitive disabilities to achieve maximum independence, meaningful employment, community inclusion, and long-term, enriching peer relationships. Among them:
“What can I say? TAP has been very good to and for One Step Beyond”
– Mimi Rogers, Founder
Participation in different TAP groups for the past 4 years has led to a stronger, more resourceful, more connected organization that enriches the lives of seniors by providing stimulating art and music interaction. Audrey’s Angels now serves more than 120 adult care homes and 11 day care centers in the Phoenix metropolitan area, a significant increase. TAP improvements came in technology, fundraising and marketing communications, and the results were resounding.
“We feel so blessed. We not only gained a lot of knowledge and resources, but we have become closely acquainted with a network of nonprofit friends.”
– Audrey Alderson, Executive Director
This community development group representing 33,000 households joined TAP in order to grow and acquire more strength. A concept paper developed with TAP appears to be a significant spark. More than $150,000 is slated to flow into the community for safety improvements, infrastructure revitalization and much, much more.
“Our work with TAP made the difference”
– Dwight Amery, Executive Director
Three consecutive years of involvement in TAP have helped make Phoenix’s only mentoring program for seriously at risk teens and youth even more successful. TAP’s “Executive Directors Roundtable” first helped the organization develop a fundraising model that has decreased dependence on special events. Next, staff participation in TAP resulted in implementation of mentoring best practices, new referrals and collaborative partnerships. Today, participation in TAP is helping Phoenix Youth At Risk achieve a new strategic road map.
“TAP has helped us transform how we work, so that we can do a better job transforming the lives through mentoring. I highly recommend all that TAP has to offer.”
– Linda Lyman, President/CEO
